I am a PhD candidate at the University of Wisconsin Madison. My research uses the fungus-growing ant-microbe symbiosis to study co-evolution between the parasitic symbiont Escovopsis and the defensive adaptations developed by fungus-growing ant hosts to stop this parasite.
I write about graduate school and what resources people have asked me for in the past. My interests include:
- Justice in STEM - Trait Evolution and Diversification - Mycology and Bacteriology - Symbiosis and Adaptation - The History of Genetics
